Ambassadors and College Readiness Pathway at The University of Texas at San Antonio

Class of 2021

Hometown: San Antonio, TX

Major: Mechanical Engineering

Minor: Business Administration

Why did you choose to become a UTSA Ambassador?

I am committed to service, leadership, integrity, and excellence.

Have you been in any leadership roles or received any recognition awards?

While at my previous university, I was the President of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and the Vice President of the Society of Women Engineers. At UTSA, I am the Mentorship Officer for the Society of Women Engineers. Throughout high school, I was heavily involved in JROTC and graduated as the Operations Officer.

What are some skills that you feel that you have gained since attending UTSA?

Since attending UTSA, I have gained confidence in myself as a student and as a professional, and I have learned how much of a lifesaver Google Calendar is.

What is your advice to an incoming student?

You can do anything, but not everything. Get involved in organizations (this is a great way to experiment with other majors before committing to changing your major), make friends with your classmates, go to the gym at least once a week to let out stress, and OneDrive/Google Drive is your BEST FRIEND.
