Welcome Center Pathway and Ambassador at The University of Texas at San Antonio
Class of 2021
Hometown: Austin, TX
I chose to become a UTSA because when I first came into the University I was looking for new friends and ways to get involved. Being an Ambassador at any college is a huge recognition by doing so in joining I could my resume stand out. The people that also joined with me at the time were another huge influence and we instantly connected and were so excited to join.
I have gain skills such as leadership, perseverance, and flexibility, I have learned these skills from my friends who help me stay grounded and teach me something everyday.
I have had leadership roles in another student organization (Hispanic Student Association). I was elected Pachanaga head which is our end of the year celebration, which takes the entire school year to plan.
My advice to incoming students would be to have confidence in themselves. Fear can make you miss out on a lot of opportunities. By being confident you can make the most of your college experience.
