Why did you choose to become a UTSA Ambassador?

I love meeting new people and sharing my love for UTSA. By becoming a UTSA Ambassador I am also able to connect with potential UTSA students and help them learn more about our campus and resources.

Have you been in any leadership roles or received any recognition awards?

I hold leadership positions in two different business organizations, including the American Marketing Association and the Association of Latin Professionals For America. These roles have helped me expand my professional network and have allowed me to get a glimpse into what I would be doing after I graduate from UTSA. Having leadership roles in these organizations help me practice my soft skills including communication and organization.

What are some skills that you feel that you have gained since attending UTSA?

Since attending UTSA I have acquired many skills such as communication, responsibility, and organization. However, the most important thing that I have gained from attending UTSA is a sense of individuality. UTSA has allowed me as an individual to feel confident in my abilities and has given me confidence in pursuing whatever I may choose to do.

What is your advice to an incoming student?

Make sure to get involved on campus by talking to your classmates, professors, joining organizations, and participating in different events. Getting involved on campus is a great way to make friends and learn about special opportunities that may not be available to everyone. In addition, joining professional organizations on campus is a great way to expand your professional network for when you graduate UTSA.
